Greece is an absolute summer paradise, from its jaw dropping landscapes, breath-taking sunsets, ancient monuments and pristine coastlines, it is no surprise Greece is at the top of everyone's travel lists, and early June is a beautiful time to go!
$2809 includes two nights in Santorini in the gorgeous Santorini Palace right in the heart of the action with amazing views of the Caldera, two nights on the party island of Mykonos in the highly rated Myconian Avaton Resort, and three nights in Athens with a beautiful view and within a few minutes walk of the iconic Acropolis in the Athens Cypria Hotel, breakfasts daily, ferries between Santorini, Mykonos and Athens, tour assistants to help with ferry boardings, airport check-ins & hotel check-ins, a guided tour of the Acropolis and downtown ancient Athens, and a guided tour of the Corinth Canal, Napflio and Mycenae. Doug Yanders will be your group leader for this spectacular adventure. Prices are based on double occupancy and do not include international airfare to Athens and Santorini. There is a single supplement fee of $1249. Round trip transportation from Easton to the airport will be available for an additional charge. Airfare is not included, but the group can/will travel on the same flight, so departure from PA/NJ and arrival in Santorini can be coordinated. There are multiple reasonably priced flights on American Airlines/British Airways. Assistance in purchasing your tickets can be provided. Day 0
May 31 PA/NJ - ATHENS - SANTORINI Departure and overnight flight to London and onward to Santorini. (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). Day 1 Jun 01 SANTORINI Arrival and welcome to paradise. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight. Day 2 Jun 02 SANTORINI Breakfast. Day at leisure. You will have the opportunity to admire and explore this beautiful island with its beautiful towns like Fira or Oia, with their peculiarities and their beautiful houses with unique decoration, with their narrow streets and outdoor cafes, or you may prefer to enjoy a swim in one of the beaches with the sea that only the wonderful islands of Greece offer. Overnight. Day 3 Jun 03 SANTORINI - MYKONOS Breakfast. At the agreed time transfer to Santorini port, departure high-speed ferry to Mykonos. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight. Day 4 Jun 04 MYKONOS Breakfast. Day at leisure to explore this island belonging to the Cyclades group and one of the Tourist Paradises of the Mediterranean. Overnight. Day 5 Jun 05 MYKONOS – PIRAEUS (ATHENS) Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer to the port of Mykonos, high-speed ferry to Piraeus (Athens). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for personal activities. Overnight. Day 6 Jun 06 ATHENS – CITY VISIT WITH ACROPOLIS Breakfast. This circuit allows you to observe the great contrast between the Capital of Classical Greece and the cosmopolitan city. As soon as you enter the ACROPOLIS you will be able to admire the Temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea, the beautiful geometry of the PARTHENON will unfold before your eyes, the Erechtheion with its renowned portico of the Caryatids, The Pandroseion. You will visit Philopappus Hill, the Plaka Quarter, Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Parliament with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the modern city of Athens, the pampered city of the Gods. Return to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Day 7 Jun 07 ATHENS – CORINTH CANAL – NAFPLION – MICENAS Breakfast. Drive the historic coast road to Corinth. Along the way stop by the Corinth Canal, which the last 120 years has turned the Peloponnese Peninsula into an island. Continue to Nafplion, the first capital of Greece. Nafplio is considered to be one of its most beautiful and romantic cities in the country! Walk in the picturesque alleys and visit the most popular sites. Look for traces of Franks, Venetians and Ottomans in the architecture of the city, while enjoying the scent of basil and jasmine that surround the city. Don’t miss the Venetian Palamidi Castle, with its famous 999 steps and breathtaking panoramic views of Nafplion and the Gulf of Argolis. Afterwards we depart for the ancient city of Mycenae, the center of Europe's first civilization. We visit this Homeric city of Atreides, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets. We see the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs. Drive back to Athens. Overnight Day 8 June 08 ATHENS - ATHENS AIRPORT Breakfast. At the agreed time, transfer to the airport of Athens, and back home we go. |
