Sestri Levante is the perfect location for a relaxed Italian getaway. Located on a peninsula overlooking two beautiful bays, surrounded by fabulous views of the sea. The hordes of summer tourists are gone and the weather is perfect for relaxing and exploring the nearby coastal towns, with average daily highs in the mid to upper 70s and nary a cloud in sight.
We'll spend seven nights in the gorgeous family owned Vis a Vis hotel complete with pool and rooftop bar, overlooking the Ligurian Sea, conveniently located between the stunning town of Portofino and the famous Cinque Terra coastline. This opportune location offers the ability to visit the entire region, and maybe even a quick trip into the often overlooked city of Genoa.. Lounge at the pool, get a massage, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views. $ 4999 includes roundtrip airfare**, all air taxes and fuel surcharges*, all transfers in Italy, breakfast daily, two dinners, including wine and aperitivo, Beach side sunset wine tasting, pesto cooking class with Ligurian wine tasting, traditional Ligurian lunch with breathtaking views of the sea in the town of Camogli, guided coastal hikes and seaside strolls, visits to the picturesque towns of Punta Manara, Camogli, Portofino, and Santa Margherita, ferry rides, train rides, and so much more! Round trip transportation from Easton to the airport is available for an additional charge.

Sestri Levante - Our home base for the week while we explore. Unpack once and enjoy! Camogli - This charming coastal town on the Italian Riviera offers a more relaxed atmosphere than nearby tourist hotspots like Cinque Terre. It's known for its colorful houses, vibrant harbor, delicious seafood, and stunning sea views. Portofino - Many have heard of this spectacular world famous seaside town. Pastel-colored houses, high-end boutiques and seafood restaurants fringe its Piazzetta, a small cobbled square overlooking the harbor, which is lined with super-yachts. A path leads from the Piazzetta to Castello Brown, a 16th-century fortress and museum with art exhibitions and panoramic views of the town and the Ligurian Sea. A wonderful place to spend the day! Explore - There's plenty of free time to explore the surrounding towns on your own, or just relax in Sestri and soak up the atmosphere.

Itinerary
Day 1 Saturday September 19 – ✈ Our overnight flight departs in the evening and arrives in Genoa on Sunday morning. Flight details to be announced. Day 2 Sunday September 20 - Our flight arrives in Genoa where we will meet our private coach to take us to our beautiful home for the next seven nights. Welcome dinner complete with beer and wine included! Overnight - in the well situated Vis a Vis hotel Day 3 Monday September 21 - Enjoy your breakfast overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean. The rest of the day is yours free to relax and enjoy this gorgeous town. Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 4 Tuesday September 22 – After a leisurely breakfast we'll walk over to our Pesto cooking class and wine tasting. Lunch included! Evening is free at your leisure. Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 5 Wednesday September 23 - Today we'll hop on the ferry for a ride over to see the Abbey at San Fruttuoso built by the Genovese in 1562, then hop back on the ferry to Portofino. Afterwards we'll head over (walk or ferry) to wander through the picturesque village of Santa Margherita on the beach. Then it's a cool train ride back home to Sestri Levante for the end of a beautiful day. Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 6 Thursday September 24 - The morning and afternoon is free today. In the evening we'll head over to a local haunt for some delicious local delicacies and a Ligurian wine tasting. Dinner (if you can still eat!) is on your own. Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 7 Friday September 25 - After a leisurely breakfast we'll hop on the train for a ride to the charming village of Camogli. Lunch is included, as is free time to wander, maybe even hike the well maintained path with sweeping views to the San Rocco church at the top of the mountain. Spend the evening in town for dinner, or when you're ready, head back to Sestri on the train. Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 8 Saturday September 26 - Today is another free day. Hike, kayak, swim, visit Genoa, head back to one of the beautiful villages we've visited, or just relax by the pool. You can't make a bad choice here! Overnight - Vis a Vis hotel Day 9 Sunday September 27 - ✈ Today we say our goodbyes to beautiful Sestri Levante and head to the airport for our flight home. Airfare details to be announced. **Airfare pricesare based on current published rates. Final airfare schedules and prices will be available ten months prior to the trip. In the meantime I have done my best to estimate pricing based on current trends. The final price may increase if airfare rises dramatically again. It is my hope and guess that airfare pricing may come down a bit.
