We'll start our trip in Siem Reap with a visit to Angkor Wat, the largest religious temple complex in the world. Then we'll make our way to Phnom Penh, Camodia's capital before boarding our boat for a 4 day river cruise to Ho Chi Min City, stopping to visit markets, villages and other sights along the way. After touring Ho Chi Min it's off to the idyllic island of Phu Quoc, a Vietnamese island in the Gulf of Thailand with white sand beaches, palm trees and turquoise blue water. We'll spend four glorious days relaxing on the beach, snorkeling, diving, sipping cocktails poolside overlooking the gulf, doing nothing or doing everything, visiting the markets and touring the island on motorbikes if you wish. This is a trip you don't want to miss.

Included for $3199 - Round trip air from Newark to Siem Reap and back from Ho Chi Min City provided by 5 star Cathay Pacific Airlines. All land transfers in Cambodia and Vietnam. Two nights at the 4 star Somadevi Angkor Hotel located on the in the heart of Siem Reap. One night at the Julian Hotel in Phnom Penh, three nights on the Mekong Eyes Explorer Cruise with all meals on board, two nights in the Harmony Hotel Saigon and four nights in the luxurious and private beachfront resort on the island of Phu Quoc complete with beachfront pool, breakfast daily, , all entrance fees to sights included in the itinerary, english speaking guides and a pre-departure meeting before we go. As an added bonus we'll have a 9 hour layover in Hong Kong on our way to Siem Reap where we'll have the opportunity to get out and tour the city. Prices include international airfare and all fuel surcharges and airport departure taxes, subject to change until final ticketing. Price is per person based on double occupancy. 2019 Cambodia & Vietnam Itinerary
February 26, 2019. Tuesday Day 0 Please arrive at Newark International by 10 PM. Our flight leaves 1:00 AM. For those of you traveling with us from Easton, we will leave the Park n Ride at 8:45 PM. February 27, 2019. Wednesday Day 1 We will travel from Newark on Cathay Pacific Airways, one of the few truly 5 star airlines in the world. Our overnight flight CX899 departs Newark Liberty International Airport at 1:00 AM and arrives in Hong Kong at 5:55 AM on Feb 28. February 28, 2019. Thursday Day 2 We land in Hong Kong and have a 9 hour layover. Our bags will have been checked through to Siem Reap so we’ll have plenty of time to get out of the airport and see some of the sights of Hong Kong. Our flight KA240 departs Hong Kong at 2:50 PM and arrives in Siem Reap, Cambodia at 4:30 PM on Feb 28. Our guide will meet us at the gate and assist us with the transfer to our hotel where we’ll have the evening free. March 1, 2019. Friday Day 3 Following breakfast at your hotel this morning we’ll embark on a journey through the history of Angkor. First stop is the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), the ancient capital of Angkor Thom in the late 12th century then onwards to Bayon temple which is unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphuon is like an artificial mountain which recently re-opened after years of restoration, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. to the popular temple of Ta Prohm which is the modern name of the temple at Angkor, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries, but probably more famous for being the location where they filmed the Tomb Raider movie. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. In afternoon, you will visit the ‘main event’ the magnificent Angkor Wat Temple. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat was constructed to represent Mount Meru, the Hindu/Buddhist home of the gods. Inside the temple, the walls are covered with stone carvings, bas‐reliefs. It is quite breathtaking…so take your time for photographs and viewings. Overnight in Siem Reap. . March 2, 2019. Saturday Day 4 This morning we’ll board our private coach, accompanied by our guide to Phnom Penh, Capital city of Cambodia. The journey will take approximately 6 hours depending on traffic. Along the way we’ll stop at "Spiderville", famous with international visitors to Cambodia for its fried spiders. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, we’ll visit the art-deco Central Market, one of the largest markets in Cambodia, selling clothes, souvenirs, jewelry, and food. Then wrap up the day with a visit to the hilltop Wat Phnom temple, the founding place of the city. From there we’ll check in to our hotel where the remainder of the evening is at your leisure. Sunday Day 5 We’ll have an early start this morning and head to the Sisowath Quay where we’ll board a speedboat that will take us to our private cruise ship in Tan Chau. After checking in we’ll have lunch on board and make an afternoon stop to Cu Lao Gieng island to visit an old colonial monastery. March 4, 2019. Monday Day 6 We’ll spend the day onboard cruising down the river towards Ho Chi Minh making stops along the way to visit various villages and points of interest along the way. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on board. March 5, 2019. Tuesday Day 7 We’ll spend the day onboard cruising down the river towards Ho Chi Minh making stops along the way to visit various villages, explore canals and stop at a local coconut candy factory. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on board. March 6, 2019. Wednesday Day 8 After breakfast on board we’ll set out for a floating market via traditional sampan boats. We’ll end our cruise here is Can Tho and make our way to Ho Chi Minh City with a lunch stop in Vinh Long City in the heart of the Mekong River Delta. Upon arrival to Ho Chi Minh We’ll take a short city tour with a photo stop at the Reunification Palace, a visit to the Notre Dame and the Central Post Office. Dinner free on own arrangement. Overnight in the Harmony Hotel Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City. March 7, 2019. Thursday Day 9 Breakfast served at hotel. Then we’ll board our private bus and head to the airport to catch our flight to Phu Quoc, where we’ll check into our home for the next four nights, the Sea Sense Resort. March 8, 2019. Friday Day 10 Breakfast served at hotel. Free day to relax and enjoy all that Phu Quoc has to offer. Overnight in the Sea Sense Resort. Maybe rent motorbikes and tour the island? Maybe lounge at the pool all day? Maybe visit the famous night market in town? Maybe visit a fishing village or go for a hike? The choice is yours. March 9, 2019. Saturday Day 11 Breakfast served at hotel. Free day to relax and enjoy all that Phu Quoc has to offer. Overnight in the Sea Sense Resort. Optional tour - We’ll head to the south end of the island and charter a private boat to spend the day snorkeling and/or diving the An Thoi archipelago. Most dive trips hit the closest island or two, but we’ll have a private charter and head to some truly secluded and magical places. Price to be determined. March 10, 2019. Sunday Day 12 Breakfast served at hotel. Free day to relax and enjoy all that Phu Quoc has to offer. Overnight in the Sea Sense Resort. March 11, 2019. Monday Day 13 Breakfast served at hotel. Transfer to the airport for our flight back to Ho Chi Minh where we’ll check into our hotel and have the last day to soak up the sights and sounds of Vietnam. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh. March 12, 2019. Tuesday Day 14 After breakfast at our hotel we’ll head to the airport to catch our 11:25 AM flight CX 766 to Hong Kong where we’ll have just enough time to grab a bite and do some last minute shopping before catching our flight home.
